Over the past two decades, I have had the privilege of been a LGBTQ+ friendly wedding photographer of many same-sex weddings from Cancun, Playa del Carmen to Tulum, including the 2 Islands, Cozumel and Isla Mujeres as well as Costa Mujeres, Riviera Cancun and the Riviera Maya and there is no reason to separate what marriage truly is, We are all equal.

I am a wedding vendor who supports equal rights, as I believe in a union between two individuals who love each other and wish to share their sacred vows.

As an LGBTQ-friendly photographer, I am committed to providing equal rights and dignity to all individuals. My passion for capturing weddings transcends sexual orientation, and my primary motivation is to document people’s lives and create lasting memories.

Photographing weddings requires the photographer to be there during one of the most intimate moments in a couple’s life together, we think we are the best LGBTQ+ friendly wedding photographer.

Sharing the joy and illuminating the love is crucial, and it is essential that your photographer holds your vows as sacred. The ability to support that and document those moments is of utmost importance to me.

You may be curious about the reasons behind my use of terms such as lesbian wedding, gay wedding, queer wedding, trans wedding, marriage equality, and gay marriage.

I genuinely do not wish to categorize our own weddings. They are simply weddings, I am equal to my heterosexual friends, However, when considering the global population of heterosexuals compared to the LGBTQ community, there are significantly more of me than there are of you.

As a result, in the online world, we are a mere speck within the vast expanse of the wedding industry. This is perfectly acceptable. We cherish our speck. It encompasses glitter, exquisite cocktails, and captivating music.

Now that federal marriage recognition has been extended to all of Mexico, traditional wedding media outlets such as Martha Stewart Weddings, The Knot, and Style Me Pretty are incorporating same-sex weddings into their heteronormative but endearing coverage.

Notably, these outlets are employing some of these search terms, and the LGBTQ community is also utilizing terms like “gay marriage,” “lesbian weddings,” “gay weddings,” and “two brides, two grooms” when planning their weddings online.

Therefore, if our community is genuinely seeking a resource that will provide tailored language, knowledge, and professional expertise specifically designed for us, Equally Wed is strategically employing engaging marketing tools to facilitate this process.

And by here, I mean not only Cancun but also any place where not all couples might feel the most welcome, such as Playa del Carmen, Tulum, or Los Cabos. In these places, there might not be any gay-friendly wedding photographers to choose from. That’s why, if you’re having your wedding anywhere in Mexico, I’ll travel to you.

On your wedding day, the last thing you should have to worry about is whether the photographer you hired will accept you. You deserve someone with years of experience photographing LGBTQ+ weddings who won’t simply plug you and your partner into a list of awkward, sexist, wedding poses.

Now more than ever, it’s crucial to remember that love is love. I feel incredibly fortunate to have a life where I get to participate in so many diverse and yet equally beautiful celebrations of love.
